A combination of coatings (passive) and Cathodic protection (active) methods achieve corrosion protection. Corrosion audits on existing structures can be conducted and a cost-effective solution provided to enable assets to be utilised to their most economical potential - particularly useful for pipelines and tanks in remote regions.

Stray current corrosion control is an area of particular expertise. The increased use of electrified transit systems such as tramways and railways can cause catastrophic damage to buried structures such as pipelines and steel reinforcement because of stray currents. Suitable track design and corrosion prevention measures on the structures can prevent this.

Corroconsult Undertakes turnkey works to provide a complete survey, design, supply install, commission and ongoing maintenance service. Corroconsult Engineers are familiar with major European and American standards as well as those that prevail in the Former Soviet Union (GOST).

In association with Pipe Sample Analysis, Corroconsult Undertakes the analysis of water pipe samples to provide details of internal and external corrosion rates, internal tuberculation rates and remaining life calculations for the pipeline - thus enabling cost effective rehabilitation programmes to be developed for water and sewerage systems.
